Moyses Stevens Flowers — Warehouse Folding Door Installation, Al Quoz

Project Overview

Makfold supplied and installed a total of 45 MAK 45 aluminium folding door units across the Moyses Stevens Flowers Trading Co. L.L.C. warehouse facility in Al Quoz Industrial Area, Dubai. Each unit was built to a 5+0 configuration — five panels stacking fully to one side with no fixed light — so every opening clears completely for pallet movement, trolley access and rapid loading. For a fresh-flower operation where stock moves constantly and temperature control matters, full-width openings that close tight were the deciding factor. The scope covered site survey, fabrication, delivery and installation of all 45 units. The MAK 45 system was specified for its 45mm thermally efficient aluminium profile, heavy-duty top-hung running gear and multi-point locking — suited to the high cycle count of a working warehouse. Panels run on stainless steel rollers within a reinforced track, with weather seals on all meeting stiles to limit dust ingress from the surrounding industrial area. Installation was phased to keep the facility operational throughout, with openings handed over in sequence rather than closing the warehouse down.
