The MAK 16 is a synchronised multi-panel sliding system: the glass panels run on parallel tracks and are mechanically linked, so sliding the lead panel draws the others with it — spreading across the opening as it closes, stacking behind one another as it opens. Where a standard two-panel slider always keeps half the wall closed, the telescopic stack clears most of the opening. And because the system runs with no floor track, the floor between the two rooms stays completely uninterrupted — no threshold to step over or clean around.
Specifications: 100mm sightline, 45mm-deep panels up to 3.5m tall and 1.2m wide each, glazed with 10–12mm glass in clear, frosted or fluted finishes. Configurations and Planning Your Opening
Telescopic arrangements are described by how the panels move and where they park: all panels sliding to one side; a fixed panel with sliding panels stacking against it; or panels parting from the centre and stacking to both sides on wider openings. Each extra track lets another panel join the stack, trading a slightly deeper frame for a wider clear opening. The right arrangement depends on your wall lengths, furniture layout and which side has room for the parked stack.
When planning, the key measurements are the opening's width and height and the wall length beside the opening where panels can park.
