Aluminium Bi-Folding Doors in Dubai — Custom-Made & Built for the UAE Climate
Makfold designs, manufactures and installs slim-frame aluminium folding doors across Dubai and the UAE — folding a full villa wall back onto your patio, garden or pool deck. Free site visit, in-house production, and a 2-year workmanship and manufacturing-defect warranty, with 5 years on glass and 10 years on powder coating.
Thermal-Broken Bi-Fold Doors, Made for Dubai Summers
Custom aluminium bi-folding systems engineered for seamless indoor-outdoor living in the UAE climate.
Our aluminium folding doors use a polyamide thermal break to keep Dubai's heat outside and your AC load down — not the standard cold-bridge frames that let heat pour straight through. Because we manufacture in our own UAE facility, every folding glass door is cut to your exact opening, with slim frames that maximise glass and keep sightlines clean. Suitable for both residential villas and commercial spaces, and backed by a 2-year workmanship and manufacturing-defect warranty, 5 years on glass and 10 years on powder coating.
Engineered to Keep Dubai's Heat Out
Ordinary aluminium frames act like a radiator in 45°C summers. Makfold's profiles use a polyamide thermal barrier that blocks heat transfer, while dual-compression gaskets seal out fine dust and street noise and precision stainless-steel rollers keep the panels gliding smoothly for years. The result is a folding door that opens effortlessly and, when closed, genuinely helps keep your interior cool.
Indoor-Outdoor Living, Without the Heat or Dust
Fold the whole wall back and your majlis, kitchen or living room opens straight onto the terrace or pool deck. Closed, the same external folding doors give you energy efficiency, a quiet interior and clean, frameless glass views — the indoor-outdoor lifestyle Dubai villas are designed around, made practical for the climate. Available as residential or commercial folding doors, in any RAL colour and as 2 to 7 panels to suit your opening.
Specifications, Pricing & Warranty
Each system is thermal-break aluminium, configured as 2 to 7 panels, open-in or open-out, with double or triple toughened safety glass and multi-point, PAS-24 certified locking. Low or flush thresholds are available for level, step-free access. As a guide, standard-height bi-folding doors are priced from AED 2,500 to AED 3,500 per panel; doors taller than 3 metres use a heavier-duty system and cost roughly double per panel. We confirm an exact, itemised figure after a free site visit. Every door is covered by a 2-year workmanship warranty and a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects, plus a 5-year warranty on glass and a 10-year warranty on powder coating.

Bifold Doors vs Sliding Doors — Which Is Right for Your Opening?
Whether you call them bifold doors, bi-fold doors, or folding sliding doors, they all describe the same system: glass panels hinged in pairs that fold and stack flat against the wall as they slide along a track. The result is what no other door type offers — up to 90% of the opening completely clear. A sliding door, by contrast, always keeps at least one panel's width of glass in the opening, but rewards you with bigger individual panes and the slimmest possible frame sightlines. The honest rule we give clients: choose bifold when you will actually open the wall regularly — pool terraces, barbecue areas, majlis opening to the garden — and choose slim sliding doors when the doors stay closed most of the year and the view through the glass matters more than the opening itself.
The glass does half the work in a glass folding door. Every Makfold bifold door ships as standard with double glazing — 6mm clear + 18mm argon-filled spacer + 6mm tempered — which blocks the heat load of the Dubai sun while keeping the panels light enough to fold with one hand. Options include low-E coatings for west-facing elevations, laminated acoustic glass near busy roads, and tinted or frosted panels where privacy matters. Combined with thermally-broken frames and multi-point locking, your folding glass doors seal as tightly closed as a fixed window — the panels are weather-stripped on every edge, not just the meeting stiles.
Configuration is where a made-in-UAE manufacturer earns its keep. We build bifold doors from 2 to 7 panels per side, folding in or out, left or right or split both ways, with an optional traffic door — a single leaf that swings like a normal door for everyday use, so you are not folding the whole wall to let the cat out. Panel widths up to 1.3m and heights up to 4m on our heavy-duty series cover almost any villa opening. Check real configurations and costs on our bifold doors price guide, or send us your opening sizes for an exact quotation.

What Our Customers Say
"We had a very positive experience working with Makfold Doors & Windows Co for the supply and installation of aluminium folding doors with double glazed glass for one of our projects in Abu Dhabi. The quality of the folding door system, glass, finishing and overall workmanship was very good, and the installation was carried out professionally. What we appreciated most was their after-sales service – a minor issue was resolved without any delay."
