Glass Rooms in Dubai, Built on an Aluminium Pergola

A covered room in your garden, by the pool or on the roof: our aluminium pergola with a sandwich-panel roof, closed in with the glass walls you choose.

What you get

A Makfold glass room is an aluminium pergola closed in with glass. We make and install the frame, the sandwich-panel roof and the glass walls: fixed glass, slim sliding doors, folding doors, or a mix. The price depends on the size of the structure and the walls you pick. The structure is priced at our pergola rate of AED 700 to 900 per m², roof included, and each wall at the guide price of the system used. Foundations, flooring and electrical work are not part of our scope.

Choose the glass walls

Fixed glass

Panels that do not open. The most glass for the least frame, and the lowest-cost wall. Best for the sides and back of the room, where you want light and the view but not a way through.

Slim sliding doors

Large glass leaves on a 21 mm interlock that slide past each other. Best for the wall facing the garden or pool when you want the biggest uninterrupted glass, with part of the opening always glazed.

Folding doors

Panels that fold and stack to one or both sides, so the whole wall opens. Best when the room should become an open pergola on cooler evenings.

The sliding and folding doors use our thermally broken aluminium profiles with double glazing, the same systems we fit to villa openings.

Glass room or open pergola?

An open pergola gives shade and stays open to the air, which suits the cooler months. A glass room keeps out dust and wind, and with air conditioning it can be used through the summer. If you are unsure, folding doors on the main side give you both: a closed room in July and an open pergola in January.

Frequently Asked Questions

A glass room is an aluminium pergola that is closed in with glass. We build the frame and a sandwich-panel roof, then fill the sides with fixed glass, slim sliding doors or folding doors, or a mix of them. The result is a covered room you can use as a lounge, dining area, gym or pool house.

It depends on the size of the structure and the walls you choose. The structure is priced at our pergola rate of AED 700 to 900 per m², and that includes the sandwich-panel roof. Walls are priced by system: slim sliding doors from AED 1,800 per m² and folding doors at AED 2,500 to 3,500 per panel, while fixed glass is priced in the quote. We send a fixed, itemised quote after a free site measurement.

Yes. Sandwich-panel roofing is included in the pergola price of AED 700 to 900 per m².

No. We do not carry out civil works or electrical work. The base or slab, flooring, lighting, power points and air-conditioning connections are arranged by the owner or their contractor. We coordinate with them so the structure, the roof and the electrical routes fit together.

Most rooms mix them. Fixed glass suits the sides and back. Slim sliding doors suit the main view when you want the largest panes. Folding doors suit the main opening when you want the whole wall to open.

Some Dubai communities require an NOC before a pergola or glass room is built. The NOC is arranged by the client with the community or developer. We provide the shop drawings needed for the application.

We measure and install across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman. Every structure is made to measure in our own factory in Al Bataeh, Sharjah, and installed by our own team.
